SCI Store Release Notes: Version 8.2.1202

            New for this Release

System Settings

A new System Setting called ‘RecentViewRangeDays’ was introduced in this release of Store. This setting allows the System Administrator to restrict the number of days back from the current date that the Recently Viewed tabs on the Homepage will retrieve information for. The system default is set to 30 days, but a range of between 1 and 250 days is available. Currently this setting has only been implemented against the ‘Recently Viewed Patients’ tab. The setting has been introduced to improve the system response times on the Homepage.

New Functionality: -

General Change: - This release of SCI Store has incorporated some code and database changes which have been implemented to improve the overall system performance as a result of some development work requested for ECS (which shares the SCI Store code base). There are no functional changes to Store as a result of this, but there have been some changes made to the way in which the application handles data caching which have introduced some minor changes to the behaviour when changing certain aspects of the system configuration. These are summarised below and should be noted by System Administrators in particular: -

When any changes are made to the interface configuration screens (Amend Interface and Interface Configuration sub screens) the Store Services component must be re-started, or the changes will not be picked up by the file parsing mechanism. The confirmation message following the ‘Save’ icon being selected on the interface configuration pages has been enhanced to incorporate the following text as reminder that this action must now be performed following a change being made – ‘Changes will NOT come into effect until service is restarted.’

The following services are NOT affected by this change as they are not part of the main Windows service: -

Tracker 9338 - Golden Jubilee HL7 Demographics Feed to GE AWare Cardiology System – Two new components have been created to facilitate the provision of patient demographics in HL7 format for the GE AWare Cardiology system for the Golden Jubilee site. The new "Store Message Recipient Service" and "Store Message Delivery Service" components have been created as generic system to system messaging services. The details are summarised below: -

Store Message Recipient Service: - This service will allow messages to be received into SCI Store sent from remote systems. This replaces the "HL7 Query service" and incorporates all of the functionality originally provided by this service. Additional functionality has been added to allow messages to be received and delivered to a local file location for upload to SCI Store.

In this release the services will allow communication via TCP\IP sockets for HL7 formatted messages (supported by SCI Store). Multiple channels can be configured to allow this service to be configured to receive from multiple systems.

Store Message Delivery Service: - This service will allow demographic notifications to be sent to a remote system. In this release the service will allow communication via TCP\IP                  sockets for HL7 formatted messages.

Multiple channels can be configured to allow this service to send to multiple destinations. Messages are generated using SCI Store notification services. SCI Store Web Services will be used to determine if a notification is available and construct the HL7 message to deliver.

           Web Service Changes: -

No changes were made in this release of SCI Store.

Resolved Issues: -

Tracker 9182 - Demographic Feed Interface - Polling Interval and Batch Size Fields Not Required for Service Configuration – The ‘Polling Interval’ and ‘Batch Size’ fields have been removed from the Demographic Feed interface definition screen.  This type of interface does not require these setting values, so they have been removed.

Tracker 9333 - Reparsed or Manually Matched Document Exceptions Does Not Update Any of the HCP Fields – This issue which was reported by ‘NHS Dumfries & Galloway’ has now been resolved. Document exception files which require reparsing or manually matching will now correctly incorporate HCP details if they are present in the incoming file.

Tracker 9355 - Manage Duplicates Screen - Merge Button Showing Incorrectly – An issue was identified where the toolbar ‘Merge Icon and ‘Merge’ Action were – under certain circumstances - being incorrectly displayed on the ‘Manage Duplicates’ page when no patients were selected for merging. This issue has been investigated and resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9370 - Issue with Document Package Identifier > 30 Chars – NHS Dumfries and Galloway reported an issue where document Package Identifiers which were in excess of 30 characters were not being properly saved to SCI Store. This was occurring if the document was being manually processed via the document exception management screens following an initial processing failure. In this case, the Package Identifier was being truncated to 30 characters in length when saved. This issue has been resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9376 - View Patient History Does Not Always Return Dataset in Chronological Order – NHS Forth Valley reported an issue where the returned dataset was not always displayed in chronological order when viewing Patient History for a patient with a large number of entries within the ‘PatientMasterHistory’ table. Sometimes the results displayed correctly and other times not for the same patient. Basically, the order the rows were presented was unpredictable. This issue has been investigated and an order by clause added to the retrieving database stored procedure to ensure that the issue has been resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9386 - CHI Broadcast Update Does Not Work When Only Postcode Provided – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde reported an issue where a CHI broadcast file containing only a postcode update for a patient who did not have a postcode recorded against their current address in Store did not update the postcode details in Store. This issue has been investigated and resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9389 - Multiple Current Names With t14_PersonalName Being Created - NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde reported an issue where multiple Current Names were being created after a series of files were processed. Additionally, it was also noticed that NS process events were incorrectly flagging name changes where the name in the input file differed in case from the current name held in SCI Store. Both of these issues have been resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9404 - Doc Exception Manual Match Page – Paging Not Working When Multiple Matches Found – NHS Dumfries and Galloway reported that the paging on the Document exception manual match page was not working as expected when multiple matches were returned and more than one page was present. This issue has now been resolved – both the ‘paging’ functionality and the ‘records per page’ functionality is now functioning as expected.

Tracker 9406 - RWS - Issue Creating XML When 2 Attachments Exist With Same Name But Different Extension – An issue was reported by NHS Lothian where a Referral and 2 attachments were sent from Gateway, but only one of the attachments was actually processed into Store, the other appeared not to have a corresponding XML data file. Both attachments had the same name but different file extensions. Investigation revealed that within the RWS processing, when creating the Metadata file name, the attachment file name is used (minus file extension) and is concatenated with the current date/time/milliseconds. It appears that on some occasions, the same file name is being created for the metadata for each attachment and as a result the first file is being overwritten by the second file. The processing has been enhanced to add a millisecond delay to the file processing loop to ensure that unique file names are always produced in future. This has resolved the issue in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9405 - XML60 Inbound Report DateTime incorrect When Saving to Database - NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde reported an issue where when XML60 inbound Test Reports are processed into Store, the ‘ReportDateTime’ is being incorrectly saved as a combination of the <ReportDate> and the < DocumentAttestationTime> node rather than <ReportDate> and <ReportTime> nodes. This issue has been resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9410 - Patient Search Audit Timeout - Missing Index – NHS Tayside recently reported that they were experiencing timeouts when running the ‘Patient Search Audit’ report. This issue has been investigated and a new index added to the appropriate database table to prevent this occurring in future.

Tracker 9445 – Message Delivery Agent - Include EVN Segment - NHS Golden Jubilee National Hospital reported that the new HL7 message delivery agent was not incorporating an EVN segment into its output. The HL7 Message Delivery Agent has now been modified to include an EVN segment in its output. This ensures that the message format is compatible with the HL7 V2.3 A04 patient message type.

Tracker 9448 - My Patients Tab - Display of Remote Patients Address Incorrectly Showing Separator Characters When Added From 'Patient Details' Page – An issue was identified during testing where the address display for Remote Store patients who have been added to the 'My Patients' tab which have multiple address lines were being incorrectly displayed with separator characters between each of the address line elements. This issue has been resolved in this release of SCCI Store.

Tracker 9449 Find Result - Requestor Selection Has Leading Characters Removed When GMC Code is Less Than 7 Digits in Length -  NHS Forth Valley reported the following issue on the ‘Find Results’ search screen. When selecting a Requestor which has a local code of 6 chars or less rather than a seven digit GMC code, the HCP details has leading chars removed when the info is displayed within the requestor text box. This issue has been resolved in this release of SCI Store.

Tracker 9458 - IE8 - When Logging Out, The Browser Back Button Still Allows Backward Navigation - NHS Western Isles reported the following issue: - When navigating within store and then logging out, the browser back button still allows backward navigation when using IE8. Additionally, the ‘Close Login’ System Setting, when set to 'Y' was redirecting the user to another page rather than closing the window / tab. This was inconsistent with how the setting works with IE6, where the window just closes.

These issues have been resolved in this release of SCI Store. The behaviour is now as defined below: -

For Internet Explorer 6

=================

Close Login set to True - Browser closed on logout.

Close Login set to False - Login page loaded on logout, the 'back' navigation button of Internet Explorer is now disabled.

For Internet Explorer 8

=================

Close Login set to True – Browser closed on logout.

Close Login set to True and multiple tabs active in IE – Only Store tab closed. Browser remains open.

Close Login set to False – Browser closed on logout.

Close Login set to False and multiple tabs active in IE – Only Store tab closed. Browser remains open.
